Established in 1881, Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) is one of Japan’s leading educational institutions in the field of science and technology. With the aim of providing an all around education, the institute emphasizes both technical and cultural skills in order to prepare students to become educators, researchers, engineers and managers.
Tokyo Tech comprises three schools, six graduate schools, four affiliated research centers and a number of other educational facilities, and receives applications from qualified applicants around the world.
This site provides international students wishing to be admitted to Tokyo Tech as undergraduate, graduate or non-regular students, with a necessary minimum of general information.
Lecture for undergraduate and graduate programs admitted at Tokyo Tech, with the exception of International Graduate Program, are conducted in Japanese. Individuals wishing to enroll as regular students must acquire sufficient competence in Japanese prior to admission.
