Usage of Sports Facilities
Equipped with an arena and a heated swimming pool on the first floor, and a weight training room and a martial arts hall in the basement, the gymnasium (Ookayama Area) is widely used for PE classes, circle / club activities and students' and faculty members' sports activities.

Use of the Indoor Heated Swimming Pool

August & September
The schedules for August and September are posted in the gymnasium with the monthly schedules for use by July 31st and August 31st, respectively.
The pool is closed on Sundays, public holidays, December 29-January 3 and during entrance exams.
- Extraordinary holidays needed to change the water or clean the pool will be posted on the bulletin board as and when they arise.
Applications and Prices for Passcards (admission tickets) for the Indoor Pool
You will need one photograph (3cm x 3cm) to apply for a passcard (admission ticket).
Please apply at the Co-curricular Section, Student Support Division (Rm. 102, 1F, West Bldg.8).
Single entry tickets can be purchased from the ticket machine in the basement of the gymnasium (single entry tickets are only valid on the day of purchase).
Please note that single entry tickets cannot be refunded.

- "Graduates and Others" refers to individuals who have graduated or completed a course of study at Tokyo Tech and faculty members who have retired from Tokyo Tech.
Use of the Gymnasium Arena
With the exception of its use for PE Classes, priority is given to circle / club activities. The schedule for circle / club activities for the upcoming month is decided at the meeting of club representatives held at 12:30 on the Wednesday in the middle of each month.
Applications from regular students for the following month are handled at the meeting held in a designated conference room (notified ahead of time on the bulletin board outside of the Student Support Division) at 13:30 on the last Wednesday of each month. Lots are drawn when applications exceed the number of time slots available.
12:00 - 13:00 on weekdays is allocated for use by faculty members.
The arena is closed on December 29 - January 3 and during entrance exams.
Use of the Gymnasium Martial Arts Hall
With the exception of its use for PE Classes, the judo, kendo, karate and aikido clubs manage the schedule for use of the martial arts hall. Accordingly, applications from regular students should be submitted at the Co-curricular Activities Section, Student Support Division after receiving the approval of the four aforementioned circles. The martial arts hall is closed on December 29 - January 3 and during entrance exams.
Use of the Gymnasium Weight Training Room
The weight training room can be used between 10:00 - 17:45 on weekdays and between 10:00 - 14:45 on Saturdays. Please apply at the Training Center Office located in the basement of the gymnasium. The weight training room is closed on Sundays, public holidays, December 29-January 3 and during entrance exams.
Use of the All Weather Tennis Courts
For various reasons, regular students cannot use this facility.
Use of the Ground
