Introduction to the Career Advisors
Every week, each of our four career advisors spends a day on duty at the
Ookayama Campus and the Suzukakedai Campus. An appointment system is used
to enable them to talk things through with you carefully.
Advisors provide you with information regarding employment, respond to fundamental questions about employment, give advice on how to do various things, and offer employment counseling.

I have had various experiences since graduating university: a job as an
engineer after majoring in the humanities; language study overseas; full-time
housewife; career support (seminars, classes and student counseling) at
universities; enrollment at graduate school when I was nearly 40; establishment
of my own company; and consulting on support for university reform. Using my experience in fields outside of the university, I will help you think about what path you should take after graduating. I understand that Tokyo Tech students are very busy with their studies and research. If you are unsure or worried about your future, or if you need information, please seek advice at the Career Guidance Room. I hope I'll be able to help each of you balance leading a fulfilling life studying and conducting research and deciding the right path forward for your happiness. |

Immediately after graduating with a master’s degree in psychology, I started working at a consulting firm that specializes in human resource management and development (HRM and HRD). There, I designed and delivered a number of human resource development programs targeted at a wide range of employee groups including new college hires, middle-class managers, corporate leaders, engineers and sales representatives. My work also involved consulting with client firms on HRM issues. Over the last few years, I, as a university career consultant, met with a total of more than 1,200 students. My goal has always been to help students with their search for productive careers with my experience and knowledge in corporate human resource management. Graduated from a University, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Department of English. Received an MBA from Arthur D. Little School of Management U.S.A. After working at Pharmaceutical and Chemical related Japanese trading companies in new business development for the company’s sales and import business, I worked at a major American implantable medical devices manufacturer and other European companies in Japan as Territory Manager and Product Marketing Manager. I was then with an international executive search firm as Vice President where I conducted many assignments at the executive level across a variety of industries prior to establishing my own company, currently serving as President. After graduating from university, I joined a Life Insurance Company. I mainly worked in the Information System Department, the Planning Department and the Asset Management Department for the company. In the meantime, I was sent to a famous Think Tank to study economic prediction and also had the chance to study international financial business in two Japanese mega banks. In addition to my experience in the Life Insurance Company, I managed a company in Australia, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Working in the different countries, gave me the unique and important opportunity to learn about different cultures. Then I worked as a venture capitalist and supported several venture businesses to be listed in the stock market. Therefore, all my experiences so far have given me the opportunity to carry out various kinds of duties in different types of industries and in different countries In Japan, nowadays, the more globalized human resources are, the more diversified your career opportunities are.I hope my career advice could be of help to you so that you could expand your possibilities and find out your best career path in your life. |

- Counseling sessions begin on the hour (from 11:00, 12:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00 )
- Counseling begins at 11:00 and ends at 17:45 (excl. 13:00-14:00)
- A maximum of 45 minutes is allotted for each counseling.
Counseling Appointments (In principle, by appointment only)
- Complete sending an email to the following address at least two days (excluding days on which the room is closed) before the day on which you want an interview.
- Please check the Appointment Availability Status Screen before sending the appointment e-mail.
- You can make one appointment at once. If you want to make another appointment, please do so after the first appointment finished. (You can not make two time appointments at once.)
- Make it clear whether you want an appointment at the Ookayama Campus or the Suzukakedai Campus.
- Please write both the first and the second choice of the date and time because a small time lag may occur before the appointment availability status screen is updated.
- The appointment will be arranged on first-come and first-served basis.
- Attach a Career Advice Registration Card when you send the appointment e-mail each time. In case you make an appointment in same contents, the cared are required every time.
- Counseling sessions begin on the hour (from 11:00, 12:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00)
Counseling begins at 11:00 and ends at 17:45 (excl. 13:00-14:00)
Each counseling session lasts a maximum of 45 minutes.
Depending on the subject of discussion, sessions may end in less than 45 minutes. - Your appointment has been finalized when you receive an email confirming your appointment.
- You can check 2 month in advance.
- The screen is an excel file and the months are divided in different sheet s.
